# Local Paper start guide

Run Quantilan on PC or Mac in **Paper mode**: install, Telegram + test exchange, trade in browser and Telegram — no live API keys required.

## Steps (summary)

1. Get the agent from https://gitlab.com/quantilan/trading-agent
2. Open Setup GUI; enable Paper / test exchange profile.
3. Create a Telegram bot (BotFather) and pass connection tests.
4. Optional: configure AI Helper (e.g. Groq) and test.
5. Start agent; use Telegram + browser for demo trading.

## Notes

- Paper = no real money.
- Live Trade mode needs your own API keys, full connection + order-cycle tests, and preferably a VPS for 24/7.
